Ethos Asset Finance’s charity lunch held on Friday 5 July smashed the £5,000 mark, raising £5,300 which will be split between Wellspring Therapy & Training and Harrogate Homeless Project.

The lunch, which was attended by over 60 individuals including the Mayor and Mayoress of the Borough of Harrogate was held at Rudding Park.

During the afternoon, guests heard about the work that both charities do and how important fundraising is to them. Both charities thanked Ethos for raising awareness and in helping them raise vital funds.

Charity is key to Ethos’ values and whilst they have been active fundraisers for some time, raising £10,000 for local causes in the last 12 months, the lunch was the first of its kind. Following its success, the event will now be an annual event in Ethos’ calendar.

Chris Brown, Managing Director at Ethos said: “We are over the moon with the amount of money we raised for two very worthy Harrogate charities.

“I think it’s fantastic that friends and clients of Ethos want to give something back to the community and I think Friday’s lunch demonstrates just that.”

Stuart Martin MBE, the Mayor of Harrogate said: “The two charities are both very close to mine and my wife’s hearts, so it was good to hear a little more about them both and see money being raised for them

“It is very refreshing to see businesses giving back to the community – so well done to Ethos!”.
