Case Study - Ethos Delivering A Monaco To London Chauffeur Company

The chauffeur industry has been one of the industry’s to have suffered the most throughout 2020 due to the global pandemic. After such a difficult year it is fantastic to see companies starting to see a return to work. We are proud to have had the opportunity to work with The London Chauffeur Company sourcing a financial solution which works for them. Complimenting the existing fleet with a luxury Mercedes Sprinter, the Monaco By Stanford Coach Works.

With over 35 years’ of experience, The London Chauffeur Company have established themselves as one of the most professional and reliable chauffeur companies out there.

Furthermore, they offer a complete service to those looking for transport across London and the UK. The majority of their work involves Music & Entertainment clients along with several high net worth business clients. They also offer family and pet-friendly transport solutions.

The Problem

Before 2020, their clients had been interested in a product which offered high-end luxury along with a ‘wow’ factor. The Monaco was the perfect solution.

The company was hit hard by COVID-19, with Jon Porter, their Director saying “The Impact of COVID-19 was like watching our work fall off a cliff. We went from being a thriving business with an ever-increasing turnover to almost nothing overnight”.

Originally, they had ordered a Monaco in January, however, were forced to delay the build until they saw a return in demand. This left the future of their luxury vehicle in doubt.

How Ethos Helped

To take the stress away from The London Chauffeur Company, Ethos Asset Finance handled the entire purchasing journey. We worked with several lenders to develop a financial structure which worked for The London Chauffeur Company’s circumstances.

The Result

Finally, the product delivered was as luxurious as it promised to be. The Monaco is probably the pinnacle of chauffeur vehicles.

This specific model features significant improvements on the Mercedes Sprinter. There are seven luxury seats in the rear plus an 8^th seat in the front with the driver. This offers those passengers who have a security person the opportunity of travelling with, but separately from the principal passengers. It is easy to socially distance as the main passenger compartment is isolated from the driver and has an independent aircon unit. The vehicle also has an electric side door on both sides with Range Rover electric side steps that deploy on opening. Two 43” TV’s, its own minibar and two fridges. There is a coffee machine available onboard along with many other features.
