Ethos's 2024 Highlights

As we enter the Christmas period, we're excited to share some of our key highlights and celebrations from the past year.

Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of participating in a number of industry events and milestones that have helped us strengthen connections, learn from industry leaders, and celebrate team achievements. As always, we are grateful for the ongoing support from our clients, partners, and the entire Ethos community, which has been instrumental in making these successes possible.

Industry Events and Networking Highlights

Managing Director Chris Brown, Office Director Becky Ashley-Still, and Sales & Account Executive Robyn Rawling represented Ethos at various key industry events this year. These included notable gatherings such as the PHTM in Milton Keynes on May 15th, the LPHCA (Licensed Private Hire Car Association) event in London on the 4th of July, the ProDriver's Car of the Year awards in Epsom on 20th of August, and several others. These events provided invaluable opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing, and showcasing the capabilities of Ethos Asset Finance within the transportation and private hire sectors.

Chris and Robyn exhibited at PHTM in May, where they had the opportunity to meet with a diverse range of potential customers and industry professionals. This event allowed them to showcase what Ethos can bring to businesses in need of innovative financing solutions. Engaging in face-to-face conversations with prospective clients, Chris and Robyn were able to not only share the range of services Ethos offers but also understand the specific needs and challenges of businesses across the private hire and transportation industries. Networking at such events helps us stay connected with our clients while ensuring that we can continuously adapt our services to meet evolving market demands.

At the LPHCA event in July, Chris had a fantastic experience connecting with a wide array of professionals in the private hire sector. Discussions centered around the latest trends and challenges facing private hire services, as well as emerging technologies and practices. This was an excellent opportunity for Chris to engage with key stakeholders and learn from their experiences, while also sharing insights into how Ethos’s financial solutions can support businesses in navigating these changes. Being part of such events helps us stay at the forefront of industry developments, ensuring that we are always equipped with the latest knowledge to benefit our clients.

In August, Chris attended the ProDriver’s Car of the Year awards in Epsom, an event that brought together industry leaders and car enthusiasts alike. As part of the celebrations, Chris had the chance to see some of the most cutting-edge vehicles in the private hire and luxury transportation sectors. Chris had the opportunity to discuss with other professionals how these new automotive innovations could benefit our clients’ fleets. Seeing firsthand the direction in which the industry is heading reinforced the importance of having access to the latest vehicles and financing options to stay competitive.

Later in November, Chris and Robyn also attended the Euro Bus Expo 2024, where they explored the latest advancements in luxury buses and coaches. This event featured leading manufacturers, including EVM, with whom we are now excited to announce a new partnership. The Expo was an eye-opening experience, showcasing cutting-edge designs, sustainability initiatives, and technological advancements in the bus and coach industry. For Ethos, it was a fantastic opportunity to stay informed about the latest trends and develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure that we can offer our clients the best options when it comes to financing their fleets.

Recognising Team Achievements and Celebrating Partnerships

In July, United Trust Bank’s Business Development Manager, Paul Barter, paid Ethos a special visit to present us with the prestigious 2024 UTB Breakthrough Broker Award. This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment that the entire Ethos team puts into fostering strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our partners. We are incredibly proud of this recognition and grateful for the continued trust and collaboration with United Trust Bank. This partnership has been integral in helping us expand our service offering and reach new milestones, and we look forward to building on this success in the years to come.

Celebrating Milestones and Giving Back

In November, Chris, Carolyn, and Becky had the honour of representing Ethos at the annual Firecracker Ball at Rudding Park Hotel in aid of Barnardo’s. This year’s event, themed "Magical Midnight Garden," was a spectacular evening that raised a remarkable £220,000 for the charity, supporting Barnardo’s mission to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Attending such an inspiring event not only allowed us to contribute to a worthwhile cause, but also gave us the chance to connect with other companies and individuals who share our commitment to giving back to the community. It's moments like these that reinforce the values that Ethos stands for—building strong communities both in business and beyond.

Funding Highlights

Our Sales & Account Executive Jack was thrilled to work with an existing local customer who approached us for finance on an E27 Bobcat. After successfully funding a Range Rover for the same customer earlier this year, they reached out again for assistance with their latest machinery needs. With a relatively new business but a solid background, Jack was able to get an approval in place for the finance and payout within just a week! The quick turnaround not only reinforced our commitment to providing fast, efficient service but also demonstrated the trust and confidence our clients place in us. As you can see from the photo below, the E27 Bobcat was immediately put to work with one of its many attachments. We're excited to continue supporting this customer and look forward to assisting with any future equipment or vehicle financing needs they may have. It’s a great example of how we build long-lasting relationships with clients and offer personalised solutions that help their businesses.

A funding highlight of Robyn’s involves a Limited Company that has been trading for less than two years. Initially relying on a cash fleet, the company was determined to continue its growth. After exploring financing options, the business—previously with a higher-risk lender due to its short trading history—achieved significant success in 2023. This success enabled them to transition to a lower-rate financing facility.

The company’s fleet expanded from 17 vehicles at the start of 2023 to 29 by year-end. Thanks to their strong partnership with Ethos, the process became seamless: the company simply sends over a link to the vehicle they’d like, and Robyn handles the rest, providing consistent terms each time for a quick and easy experience.

Bride And Groom

Personal Celebrations Within the Team

In addition to our industry milestones, we were thrilled to celebrate a wedding within our team this summer! Our talented Sales and Account Executive, Robyn Rawling, tied the knot with her partner, Oliver, in August. We’re delighted to share that Robyn (formerly Welford) is now officially Robyn Rawling. We couldn’t be happier for her and wish Robyn and Oliver a lifetime of happiness together.

Looking Ahead

As we approach the end of the year, we would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our clients, partners, and the broader Ethos Asset Finance community. Your continued support and collaboration have been instrumental in our success, and we remain deeply appreciative of the trust you place in us. As we reflect on the progress we’ve made this year, we are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. We remain committed to providing exceptional service and innovative financial solutions that help your business thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.
